Leather Craft & Italian Course
CLIDA has partnered with Scuola del Cuoio—the most traditional Leather school in Italy, to bring its students the following courses:
Ten Day Course:
Ten Day Course: Two Weeks in the Workshop
During the Two-Week course (approximately 60 hours), students are given
an introduction to the Scuola del Cuoio, receive a short lecture about
the materials used in creating leather products and witness a
demonstration of gold-gilding. Participants then enter the workshop and
are given a smock to wear while the Master Craftsmen teach the
participant how to cut, create and finish several objects over the
course of two week.
Objects created during the first week may include but not be limited
to: an Eyeglass Case, a Document Holder, a Pouch-Style Purse and a
Shopping Handbag. The second week is dedicated to more Artistic Leather
Objects which may include creating a Photo Album, Leather Picture Frame
and a small leather odds-and-ends case gilded in 22 carat gold.
Course fees include: Introductory Lecture, Lessons with the Master Craftsmen and Materials.

One Month Course:
One Month Course: A Month with the Masters
During the month-long course, (approximately 120 hours), students
receive a sampling of the various disciplines. Students are given an
introduction to the Scuola del Cuoio, receive a short lecture about the
materials used in creating leather products and witness a demonstration
of gold-gilding. Participants then enter the workshop and are given a
smock to wear while the Master Craftsmen teach the participant how to
cut, create and finish several objects over the course of the month.

Shopping Handbag. The second week and third weeks are dedicated to more
Artistic Leather Objects which may include creating a Photo Album,

students are encouraged in the fourth week to choose one of the
disciplines on which to concentrate their studies. Course fee includes:
Introductory Lecture, Lessons with the Master Craftsmen and Materials.
TESOL & Italian Course
Centro Linguistico Italiano Dante Alighieri (CLIDA) offers two programs
aimed for teachers who are teaching Italian speakers the English
language. Upon completion of the course, graduates will receive
certification as Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages
(TESOL).

Course TI/8: Tesol & Italian - 8 Weeks
The TI/8 course is designed to learn the basics of Italian language
accompanied by acquiring the specialized techniques for teaching
English to those who speak English as a second language. This course
includes TESOL Certification.
The program includes:
- First month: A one-month TESOL class with Trinity CertTESOL Courses in Florence
- Second month: G8 Italian language course (80 hours) in the morning with internship in the afternoons

Course TI/12: Tesol & Italian - 12 Weeks
The TI/12 course is designed to learn the basics of Italian language
accompanied by teaching techniques for the English Language, with the TESOL Certification. This course also includes a teaching internship to give the student the opportunity to practice their teaching skills.
The program includes:
- First month: G8 Italian language course (80 hours)
- Second month: one-month TESOL class with Trinity CertTESOL Courses in Florence
- Third month: part-time internship in Florentine schools or organizations
